PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College senior co-captain
Parker Ford (Wakefield, R.I.) has signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Winnipeg Jets that will begin in the 2023-24 season as announced by the team on Saturday (March 25). Ford will join Manitoba (AHL) on an Amateur Tryout (ATO) for the remainder of the 2022-23 season.
Ford finished up his senior season at Providence as a co-captain, recording 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points and a +18 rating. He was also proficient at the dot this season, winning 448 draws (9
th in the NCAA) for a 58.6% success rate. Ford was a Walter Brown Semifinalist and Third Team Hockey East All-Star selection in 2022-23.
In 131 career games with the Friars, Ford totaled 41 goals and 53 assists for 94 points with a +39 rating. As a junior in 2021-22, he served as an alternate captain and recorded a career-high 27 points. Ford also appeared for the United States in the 2020 World Junior Championship.
