Men's Swimming 800-yard Freestyle Relay Team of Aidan Hughes, Nico Menendez-Featherston, Noah San Vicente and Alex Beauchene finished fifth at the BIG EAST Championship and set a school record.

The men's team set two school records on the first night of finals competition.

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. – The Providence College men's and women's swimming & diving programs opened competition at the 2023 BIG EAST Championships on Feb. 22 at the Nassau County Aquatic Center in East Meadow, N.Y.

The men's team set two school records on the evening to highlight the opening night of competition for the Friars.

Aidan Hughes, Nico Menendez-Featherston, Noah San Vicente and Alex Beauchene teamed up to finish fifth in the 800-yard freestyle relay in a record-setting time of 6:43.24.

McGovern Brown, Kevin Hood, Ryan Sharp and Will Layden also joined forces to set a school record in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:29.51.
