CANTON, N.Y.– The No. 15 Providence College women's hockey team was defeated by St. Lawrence, 7-2, on Friday, Oct. 6 at Appleton Arena in Canton, N.Y.
Hope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) finished the night with 33 saves.

-The Saints struck
9:55 into the first period when Mae Batherson scored off of assists from Julia Gosling and Kiley Mastel.
-With eight seconds left in the first, St. Lawrence's Sarah Marchand scored to put her team ahead 2-0. Abby Hustler was credited with the assist.
-St. Lawrence went up 3-0 at the
16:14 mark of the second period with a goal from Melissa Jefferies. Taylor Lum and Julia Gosling assisted the goal.
-The Saints' Abby Hustler scored
4:57 into the third period (4-0). Katina Duscio and Aly McLeod assisted the goal.

Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y.) converted on a power play to put the Friars on the board at the
10:03 mark in the third period.
Ashley Clark (North Weymouth, Mass.) and
KC Brooks (Colorado Springs, Colo.) were each credited with an assist.
-St. Lawrence responded with a power play goal, 5-1, from Mae Batherson
