Connor Kelley Named Hockey East Defender Of The Week

Kelley recorded two assists and a +5 rating last Friday against Stonehill.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College men's hockey senior defenseman Connor Kelley (Maple Grove, Minn.) was named Army ROTC Hockey East Defender of the Week as announced by Hockey East on Monday (Oct. 16). Kelley joins teammate Luke Krys (Ridgefield, Conn.) as earning the first two Defender of the Week accolades for Hockey East in 2023-24.
Kelley registered two assists and was a team-best +5 in the Friars' 7-1 victory over Stonehill in their home-opener last Friday night. His +5 rating is tied for the team lead and he also leads all Friars with nine blocked shots.
The 10th-ranked Friars will host No. 2 Denver on Friday night (Oct. 20) before welcoming in Rensselaer on Saturday night (Oct. 21).
