Women's Tennis Defeats Stonehill, 6-1

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's tennis team downed Stonehill College, 6-1, on Saturday (Sept. 24) at the Providence College Tennis Courts.

The Friars claimed the doubles point, winning two of three matches as the duos of Katie Mulvey/Vannelie Melendez and Emmie Lindholm/Elisa Davalos scored victories. Providence swept the 2-6 positions in singles play to earn the 6-1 victory overall. Julia Migliorini, Mulvey, Lauren Carson, Melendez and Mae Abreu earned decisive wins for the Friars on Saturday.

Providence will return to action at the ITA Regionals in Hanover, N.H. from Sept. 30-Oct. 2.
