Providence College Athletics Hosts Season Ticket Holder Party

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – On Monday June 6, the Providence College Athletic Department held a season ticket holder party on Slavin Lawn at Providence College. Over 3,000 season ticket holders attended the event and joined together to celebrate the Friars successful athletic seasons.

"Friartown this has been amazing," Men's Basketball Head Coach Ed Cooley said. "I am so humbled and appreciative of everybody who is here, and I can tell you the support we had from you was unbelievable this season."

All who attended the event received a Doris Burke bobblehead and fans were also able to enjoy food catered by Millonzi Catering. The event featured speeches from Head Men's Basketball Coach Ed Cooley, Head Women's Basketball Coach Jim Crowley, and Head Men's Ice Hockey Coach Nate Leaman. At the event Ed Cooley was presented with the Naismith Coach Of The Year trophy. Fans also heard from Athletic Director Bob Driscoll and incoming Athletic Director Steve Napolillo.
"One thing that is always certain here at PC is the incredible support and passion from Friartown fans," Women's Basketball Head Coach Jim Crowley said.
Both Driscoll and Steve Napolillo extended their gratitude to all those who supported Friars Athletics this season.

"Prior to this season I had never seen the Dunkin' Donuts Center with that kind of energy and it was because of you fans," Athletic Director Bob Driscoll said.
