EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's tennis team battled hard but ultimately was edged by UConn, 4-3, on Wednesday (April 6) at Centre Court in East Providence, R.I.
The Huskies won the doubles point to take an early 1-0 lead.
Olivia Wright and
Lauren Carson each earned hard-fought three-set victories over their opponents, while
Katie Mulvey won her match in straight-sets in singles play. UConn however claimed three of the matches to earn the 4-3 victory.
Providence is back on action on Sunday, April 10 at home against Holy Cross at 11:30 a.m.
