Women's Tennis Splits Weekend Matches Against New Haven and Quinnipiac

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's tennis team defeated the University of New Haven on Saturday, March 26, 7-0, but fell to Quinnipiac on Sunday, March 27, 4-1. Providence dropped to 3-8 overall in dual match play this season.

The Friars swept every match against the Chargers on Saturday, claiming all singles matches in straight sets. On Sunday, the Friars got off to a fast start as Elisa Davalos/Lauren Carson and Katie Mulvey/Emmie Lindholm won their matches to claim the doubles point and give the Friars a 1-0 lead. The Bobcats however swept all singles matches to earn the victory.

Providence is back on action on Thursday, March 31 at Bentley University beginning at 3 p.m.
