PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College men's hockey's
Brett Berard (East Greenwich, R.I.) was named Hockey East Player of the Week on Monday (Nov. 21). Berard led all Hockey East players with four points last week.
The junior forward posted a goal and an assist in each victory over Vermont last weekend, including the game-winning goal on Friday night in Providence's 4-0 win over the Catamounts. Berard followed that up with a breakaway goal off a blocked shot and another assist in the Friars' 4-3 overtime win on Saturday. He finished the weekend with a +4 rating.
In 13 games this season, Berard leads the Friars in scoring with six goals and nine assists and ranks second on the team with a +10 rating. In the month of November, Berard has five multi-point efforts in six games and six goals and five assists over that span.
