Riley Duran added a pair of goals as the No. 15 Providence College men's hockey downed Clarkson by a 5-2 score on Thursday night (Oct. 13) at Schneider Arena.

- The Friars jumped on top just 1:25 into the game on freshman
Jaroslav Chmelar's first-career NCAA goal as he slammed a rebound of a
Brett Berard wrap-around past Haider.
Connor Kelley also earned an assist on the play.
- Clarkson evened things up at 1-1 at 13:05 of the opening period as Tommy Pasanen slid a shot through a maze of bodies and past Svedeback.
- Providence won 18-of-21 draws in the opening period.
- The Friars once again struck again early in a period as sophomore
Taige Harding netted his first NCAA goal on a slap shot to the short side.

Patrick Moynihan tallied his second power-play goal of the season off a one-timer from
Nick Poisson to make it a 3-1 game.

Riley Duran extended the lead to 4-1 on the power play with his second strike of the season.
Cody Monds and Chmelar earned assists on the play, each notching their second point of the night.
- The Friars continued to close things down defensively until the Golden Knights tallied a goal at 18:34 of the third period with an extra attacker.
- Duran scored his second goal of the night into an empty net with 0.5 seconds remaining in regulation.
- Providence has now won three straight in the series against the Golden Knights.
- The Friars won 44-of-67 faceoffs on Thursday (.657).
