Allison Barber Named To Preseason All-BIG EAST Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I.– Graduate student Allison Barber (Woodbury, Minn.) of the Providence College volleyball program was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team as announced by the conference office today (Aug. 5).
Last season, Barber started in all 10 of Providence's matches and played all 41 sets. She led the Friars in assists (362) and assists per set (8.83), ranking fourth in the BIG EAST for assists. She recorded the second-most digs on the team (115), tallying 2.80 digs per set. For the 2020-21, season Barber was named to the All-BIG EAST Team and was a three-time selection on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll (March 9, 16, and 31).
