Providence, R.I. – The Providence College men's swimming and diving team earned a 165-92 win over Maine on Sunday in Taylor Natatorium. The Friars were first to the wall in 11 of the 14 events held on the day. Sophomore
Kevin Hood improved the program record in the 100-meter breaststroke (1:04.51). He had previously set the record in 2020, swimming a 1:04.95. Junior
Justin Viotto notched two program records on the afternoon. He broke his own 200-meter butterfly record with a time of 2:05.67. Viotto's time was more than a one second improvement from his 2020 best (2:06.78). The junior also set a new team record in the 200 IM (2:08.72). John Fatigati previously set the record in 2014 with a 2:09.01.
