Elena Leontaridou Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- Providence College sophomore middle blocker Elena Leontaridou (Thessaloniki, Greece) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for volleyball, as announced by the league on Tuesday, March 2. This is the first BIG EAST award for the sophomore.

Leontaridou led the league in blocks per set last week with 1.75. In the Friar's 3-1 win over University of Rhode Island on Monday, she had five block assists and seven triple blocks. She also tallied six kills and two digs.

The Friars will travel to Seton Hall University on Friday, March 5 and Saturday, March 6.
