Women's Tennis Drops Season-Opener to Rhode Island

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Providence College women's tennis team fell to Rhode Island, 7-0, in its season-opening match on Sunday (March 14) at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, R.I.

"We played hard from top to bottom against a good URI team," said Head Coach Jakob Klaeson. "It was great to compete again. This group will have many opportunities to play well and grow as a team."

The Friars are back in action on Wednesday (March 17) at Fairfield University.
