Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany) earned postseason honors as announced by the Hockey East on Saturday, February 27.
Hjalmarrson was named a Second Team All-Star for the first time in her career after being named to the Hockey East Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team after her freshman campaign. Hjalmarrson had an impressive season playing in all 17 games and leading the team offensively with 15 points. She tallied five goals and a team-high ten assists. She ranks eight in points scoring in the hockey east. Hjalmarsson scored one game-winning goal on the road against Merrimack on Jan. 15.
DeBlois and Abstreiter were both named as Third Team All-Stars.
DeBlois has appeared in all 17 games for the Friars this season and has tallied seven points. DeBlois is tied for second most goals on the team with four, and has three assists on the season. This is DeBlois first All-Star team honor, after being named to the Hockey East Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team her freshman season.
Abstreiter has made 17 starts in net. She holds a .928 save percentage and a 1.94 goals against average. The netminder has made 424 total saves and has 3 shutouts. She was recently announced as a finalist for the Women's Hockey Goalie of the Year Award.
