Emma Nelson Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Nelson recorded 18 kills and a .263 hitting percentage against Bryant

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- Providence College sophomore outside hitter Emma Nelson (West Chester, Pa.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for volleyball. The BIG EAST released its weekly award winners on Tuesday, Feb. 16. This is the first BIG EAST award for the sophomore.

In the Friar's 3-1 win over Bryant on Sunday, Nelson led the Friars in kills with 18. Nelson hit .263 and added four blocks. Nelson's final kill of the match closed out the team's first season victory.

The Friars return to action Monday, Feb. 22 at 7:00 p.m. as they host University of Rhode Island.
