BIG EAST Announces Cancelations For Women's Basketball

Providence College women's basketball games at Xavier (Dec. 31) and Butler (Jan. 2) are canceled.

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The BIG EAST Conference announced today [Dec. 27] that the Providence College women's basketball games scheduled at Xavier (Dec. 31) and Butler (Jan. 2) have been canceled due to COVID issues within the Providence program.
 
Per the BIG EAST game cancellation policy, the Conference office will attempt to reschedule the games in accordance with the parameters of the policy.
 
The Friars will return to action on Friday, Jan. 7 against DePaul. The game is scheduled to tip at 7:00 p.m. at Alumni Hall in Providence, R.I.
