PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College junior forward
Patrick Moynihan (Millis, Mass.) was named Hockey East Player of the Week on Monday, November 22. It was the third time the Friars have had a Hockey East Player of the Week honoree this season (
Nick Poisson – twice).
Moynihan scored twice during a five-minute major on Friday night at Vermont, including the game-tying goal after Providence trailed 3-0. On Saturday, the junior added another power-play goal to give the Friars insurance late in the third period of a 2-0 victory over the Catamounts.
The Friars will host Dartmouth at Schneider Arena on Friday afternoon (Nov. 26) before visiting Brown for a Mayor's Cup matchup with the Bears at Meehan Auditorium on Saturday night (Nov. 27).
