Providence And Santander Bank Announce New Integrated Relationship

Santander assumes "Official Bank of Providence College" designation throught 2027.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (October 14, 2021) – Providence College Athletics announced today the extension of a strategic relationship with Friars' corporate partner Santander Bank, N.A., enabling the financial institution to assume the "Official Bank of Providence College" designation for the next six years.
            Santander's new agreement now in effect was secured by Providence Friars Sports Properties, multimedia rightsholder for the Friars. In addition to the exclusive sponsorship designation, Santander will receive brand visibility through various official digital, print and radio platforms owned by Providence College. Santander will also have brand recognition via in-venue signage across multiple men's and women's sports throughout the various seasons.
            "We're excited to once again align the Santander Bank brand with Providence College, its outstanding fanbase and alumni, and we're pleased to support the athletics programming and its campus community through 2027," said Karim Hill, New England South Region President at Santander Bank. "We are committed to leveraging this partnership with our longstanding commitment to helping the communities we serve prosper, and we've identified some unique ways in which can do that."
            Notably, Santander Bank will serve as presenting sponsor for the annual Vision Cup Golf Tournament held at Newport Country Club; conducted by Providence College in conjunction with the Men's Basketball Vision Team. As part of its Friars' corporate partnership, Santander will provide a local non-profit organization tickets to designated athletics events on campus. Santander will also explore programming in support of the Bank's Providence-based community commitments, particularly focusing on financial education and empowerment in partnership with Providence College athletes.
