BIG EAST Conference Releases 2021-22 Women's Basketball Schedule

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The BIG EAST Conference released its regular-season women's basketball schedule on Friday, Oct. 1. The Friars will play a 20-game league schedule, playing each of the other 10 conference teams once at home and once on the road. The Friars will open their 2021-22 league schedule with a pair of home games against Villanova (Dec. 3) and Georgetown (Dec. 5).
Providence also is scheduled to play on FS1, twice, versus Butler on Jan. 2 in Indianapolis, Ind. and versus Xavier on Feb. 13 in Providence, R.I. The Friars also will battle Connecticut on SNY at home on Jan. 30 and on CBS Sports Network on Feb. 27 to close the regular-season schedule at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Conn.
Each of the Friars remaining conference games will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network via FloSports, in addition to each of the Friars home non-conference games.
The 2022 BIG EAST Women's Basketball Tournament is scheduled to be played at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. on March 4-7.
