EAST MEADOW, N.Y. – The Providence College Friars competed in the second day of the 2020 BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championships.
On day two of the championships the Friars set three program records in individual events and an additional two records in relays.Â

Lauren Zawacki, who already held the program record in the 50-yard freestyle, improved upon her own mark in this morning's prelims and then bettered it again in the finals. Zawacki reached the wall in 23.81. The women's 200-yard freestyle relay team of
Katie Thornton,
Taylor Loud,
Margie Keenan and
Lauren Zawacki set a program record, notching a time of 1:35.24.

For the second consecutive day
Andrew Ferrell found his way onto the program all-time leaderboard. This time besting his own 200-yard IM mark by half of a second. Ferrell's record stands at 1:50.78.
Aidan Hughes outpaced Mark Tartaglione's 24-year-old record in the 50-yard freestyle. Hughes set the new standard at 21.13.

PK Brannigan teamed up to improve the 200-yard freestyle relay record, now standing at 1:22.93.
