STORRS, Conn. - The Providence College women's ice hockey team tied UConn, 1-1, on Sunday afternoon in Storrs, Conn. The Huskies claimed the shootout by a score of 2-0, but the game goes down officially as a tie.

Maddy Coene (Clayton, N.Y.) netted her first collegiate goal to give the Friars a 1-0 lead at 11:51 of the first period.
Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y) and

-UConn knotted the game at 1-1 at 19:18 of the opening period on the power play when Savannah Bouzide scored from Claire Peterson.
