PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Friars women's tennis program is set to host the Providence College Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 28 and will compete in matches against Bryant University, Holy Cross and Merrimack.
"After a great week of practice, the program is excited to host the first-ever Providence College Fall Invitational," said Head Coach Jakob Klaesson. "We're very excited to start a fall tradition on campus."
The action starts at 9 a.m. Saturday morning at the Providence College Tennis Courts located on top of the parking garage adjacent to Anderson Stadium. Doubles play kicks off the action followed by singles throughout the day. In total, 37 matches will take place over the course of the day. Each player will compete in one doubles and two singles matches on Saturday.
Freshmen
Catherine Gamble,
Brenna Magliochetti,
Vannelie Melendez,
Julia Migliorini and
Katie Mulvey will all compete in their first collegiate matches.
The Friars will be back in action from Oct. 12-13 at the University of Rhode Island Invitational in Kingston, R.I.
