Providence College Names Martha Pérez-Schmitz Associate Athletic Director For Business

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College Athletics Director, Robert G. Driscoll, Jr., announced today that Martha Pérez-Schmitz was named Associate Athletic Director for Business. Pérez-Schmitz replaces Ashlee Magosin, who left earlier in the month for a position at the Air Force Academy.
Prior to coming to Providence, Pérez-Schmitz worked at Georgetown University. She joined the Hoyas' staff in 2015 as the Business Manager in the Athletic Department. At Georgetown, Pérez-Schmitz was the primary contact in the business office for 12 of the 23 sports in the department. This role included budget management and purchasing for the business office.
Prior to taking the position at Georgetown, Pérez-Schmitz was employed at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore from 2011-15. In 2011, she started as a Graduate Assistant for Compliance, until 2014 when she became the Acting Coordinator of Student-Athlete Services and Compliance Director for the Hawks. Pérez-Schmitz coordinated the community service efforts for all sports and organized student development programs for student-athletes.
Pérez-Schmitz graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in sociology. She received a four-year full athletic scholarship as a member of the women's bowling team where she was a two-time All-American in 2010 and 2011. She earned her Masters of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling in 2014 from Maryland Eastern Shore and her Masters of Professional Studies in Sports Industry Management in 2018 from Georgetown University.
