PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's tennis team swept past Assumption College, 7-0, on Sunday at the Providence College Tennis Court.
The Friars improved to 5-16 overall in dual match play this season and earned their first clean sweep of a match this season. The team honored senior
Risa Takenaka prior to the match and she came out with a strong performance on court one, a 6-2, 6-1 victory. Takenaka teamed up with
Aidan Epstein in doubles to boost the Friars to the doubles point and a 7-0 sweep of the match.
Providence returns to action on Saturday, April 13 for a home match against St. John's at 11 a.m.
