PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College's
Jack Dugan (Rochester, N.Y.) was named the Hockey East Player of the Week for the second time this season as announced by the league on Monday (Nov. 11).
Dugan tied for the Hockey East lead with six points this past weekend in Providence's 1-0-1 home-and-home series win over Boston University. The sophomore totaled six assists, four coming in the Friars' 6-5 win over the Terriers on Saturday night. Dugan leads the entire NCAA in scoring with 24 points on five goals and 19 assists. He currently rides a six-game point streak (2-13-15) and has recorded at least two points in nine of 10 games played this season.
Providence moved up one spot in the latest national polls to No. 10 and will host No. 14 Northeastern on Friday night (Nov. 15) to begin a home-and-home series with the Huskies.
