PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College women's tennis freshmen
Julia Migliorini (North Haven, Conn.) and
Katie Mulvey (Woodbury, Minn.) each competed at the ITA Northeast Regionals held at Army West Point on Friday (Oct. 18).
"Overall, it was a good day of competition," said Head Coach Jakob Klaesson. "There were a lot of things to learn from and it was a positive that two freshmen gained valuable experience."
The duo came out strong in doubles play to open the day, scoring an 8-6 win over St. Bonaventure before falling in the next round to Boston College, 8-6. Migliorini battled hard in singles play, but eventually fell short against her opponent from Binghamton, 4-6, 6-4, 1-6 in three sets.
The Friars are back in action from Nov. 9-10 at the Ocean State UTR Open.
