Women's Tennis Defeated at College of Charleston

The Providence College Women's Tennis team faced off today against College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C. In their first outdoor game of the season, the Friars played tough against a talented Cougars team, losing 7-0.
The Friars came out strong in doubles before Charleston rebounded to secure the point. In singles, the Friars gave their opponents all they could handle, forcing many long points. In Singles no. 6, Freshman Sera Satkowski played a very strong first set, ultimately losing 7-6, 6-1. Freshman Lauryn Jacobs also played strong in Singles no. 4, losing 6-3, 6-2.
Senior Katie Marvin said of the match, "I thought this was one of our more competitive matches, the score didn't show the intensity of the match. It makes me excited for the team's matches this weekend."
The Friars play next on Saturday, Mar. 10th, at Harvard University, before returning home on Sunday, Mar. 11th, to take on Marist.
