PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Hockey East Association announced today (Nov. 19) that Providence College freshman
Jack Dugan (Rochester, N.Y.) was tabbed as the league's Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week.
In two games against Merrimack last weekend, Dugan tallied a league-high five points on two goals and three assists. Dugan registered the game-winning goal and an assist on Friday night at Merrimack and followed that up with a three-point performance on Saturday night against the Warriors, aiding the Friars to a two-game sweep. The reigning Hockey East Rookie of the Month for October leads all NCAA freshmen in scoring with 14 points (5-9-14), 12 of which have come in Hockey East games.
Dugan and the Friars will travel to Colorado over Thanksgiving to battle the nationally-ranked Denver Pioneers for a two-game series beginning Friday night (Nov. 23).
