PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Hockey East Association announced today (Nov. 1) that Providence College freshman
Jack Dugan (Rochester, N.Y.) was named the league's Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Month for October. Dugan is the first Friar to earn Rookie of the Month honors from the league since Anthony Florentino in March of 2014.
A 2017 fifth-round draft pick of the Vegas Golden Knights, Dugan tallied a total of seven points on two goals and five assists over six games in October. Both of his goals were game-winning goals in Hockey East contests against UConn and Boston University. In two league games, Dugan has recorded five points and a +2 rating. The Friars are 4-0-0 when Dugan registers a point in 2018-19.
Dugan and the Friars return to action this Saturday (Nov. 3) at Holy Cross for a 7:05 p.m. puck drop at the Hart Center in Worcester, Mass.
