Jovana Nogic Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College junior guard Jovana Nogic (Belgrade, Serbia) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, Nov. 20. She averaged 23.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals in a 1-1 week for the Friars, highlighted by a career-high 31 points against Northeastern (Nov. 14).
Providence erased a 20-point fourth quarter deficit to beat the Huskies, 98-95, in overtime. Nogic scored eight of the Friars' 13 points in the extra session to seal the victory.
On Nov. 18, Nogic followed with a team-high 16 points against Penn State. She also contributed five rebounds and two assists.
Nogic has reached double figures in each of the Friars' first three games this season, including two games with 20+ points. She enters the Savannah Invitational averaging 22.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
The Friars return to action on Nov. 21 against Savannah State at 7:00 p.m. as part of the Savannah Invitational. Providence will remain in Savannah to face Wright State (Nov. 22) and Stetson (Nov. 23).
