PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providene College Head Coach Becky Ricci is pleased to welcome three freshmen to the 2016-17 roster, including Aidan Epstein (Fairway, Kan.), Natalie Pitocco (Warwick, R.I.) and Annie DaSilva (East Greenwich, R.I.).

Epstein graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School, where she was captain of the tennis team and a four-year letterwinner. SMEHS won the state tennis championship when Epstein was a freshman. A lifelong tennis player, Epstein took her first lesson at three years old. She loves the atmosphere at PC --friendly and sporty-- and looks forward to both the academic and athletic challenges it offers.

Pitocco graduated from La Salle Academy, First Honors with Distinction, where she was captain of the tennis team and a four-year letterwinner. She also was the winner of the Brother Alban F.S.C. Award for Dedication and Commitment to the team and of the Sportsmanship Award for three years. Pitocco earned First Team All-State honors and has played tennis since she was five years old. Pitocco has grown up a Friar fan -- her grandfather brought her to PC basketball games her whole life, her mom is an alum. Her sister also will be graduating from Providence College in the spring, and Pitocco could not imagine attending college anywhere else!

DaSilva graduated from Moses Brown School, where she was twice awarded the tennis team's Most Valuable Player distinction. She played tennis all four years and won the Coach's Award twice. DaSilva has been playing tennis since she was five years old and looks forward to playing for the Friars. She loved the feeling of community at PC and felt welcomed the minute she stepped foot on campus. ###
