Athletics Signs 10-Year Multimedia Rights Extension With Learfield

March 1, 2016 PROVIDENCE, R.I. (March 1, 2016) - Providence College Athletics Director Bob Driscoll announced today (March 1) that Providence College has signed a 10-year contract extension with Learfield. The Friars will continue to be represented by collegiate marketer Learfield through the 2025-26 athletic season.

"We are excited that we will be continuing our partnership with Learfield," Driscoll said. "We believe that Learfield is the industry leader. Learfield plays an integral role in helping us to generate additional funds to support our student-athletes as they strive for success."

Learfield has been the exclusive multimedia rights holder for the Friars since February 2014, when it acquired the assets of Nelligan Sports Marketing. Providence Friars Sports Properties is Learfield's dedicated team which manages all aspects of the rights relationship and works with local, regional and national businesses wanting to align with athletics through venue signage; event sponsorships; television; digital engagement and visibility via www.friars.com, radio game broadcasts and coaches' shows on the Providence College Sports Network.
