Tennis Concludes Play At Spring Break Puerto Rico Tournament

PALMAS DEL MAR, Puerto Rico - The Providence College women's tennis team travelled to Palmas Del Mar, Puerto Rico for a Spring Break Tournament from March 13-14. The Friars went 2-2 over the course of the tournament, with their final match against Robert Morris being a win by default.

Providence opened the tournament with play against Augustana, where the Friars fell 7-0 (March 13).

The Friars later went on to fall, 4-3, in a tough fought battle with Long Island University Brooklyn (March 13). Sophomore Alana Prinos (Foxborough, Mass.) and junior Karen Ramirez(San Juan, Puerto Rico) both earned wins in singles action for the Friars during that match.

The following day (March 14), Providence ended the tournament with a bang, sweeping Valpariso (7-0) for its lone win over the break. The Friars saw a clean sweep of doubles and singles action in the win.
