Leahy To Join Men's Hockey Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -

Providence College Men's Hockey Head Coach Nate Leaman announced the addition of goaltender Brendan Leahy to the team. Leahy has enrolled at the College and will begin playing with the Friars in the middle of December.

Leahy, a 6-2, 210-pound goalie from Reading, Mass., last played for the P.A.L. Jr. Islanders in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). In 13 games with P.A.L. this season, Leahy posted a 3.04 goals against average and a .910 save percentage.

Leahy also had stints in the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL) with the Boston Jr. Bruins and the Valley Jr. Warriors as well as with Waterloo of the United States Hockey League (USHL).
