Men's Hockey Alumni Game Set For Fenway Park

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -

The Providence College Men's hockey program will host an alumni game at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 3 at Fenway Park in Boston, Mass.

The alumni game will feature over 30 former Friars from various graduation years from 1965-2013. Registration for the event will begin at Fenway Park at 9:30 a.m.

If you are a former player and want to join the game, please contact Joe Hulbig by calling 401-865-1171 or by emailing jhulig@providence.edu.To help cover the cost for ice time and jerseys, all participants are asked to make a meaningful charitable donation to the Providence College men's hockey program.

The alumni game will precede practices for Merrimack and Providence. The fifth-ranked Friars will hit the Fenway ice for the first time with a 1:30 p.m. practice on Friday afternoon.

The Warriors and Friars will then play a non-conference game as part of Frozen Fenway 2014 at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4. The game will be televised live on NESN and it will be Providence's first outdoor game.
