PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College Athletic Ticket Office received national recognition at the PACnet ticketing conference in Newport Beach, California on February 14. The Providence College Athletic Ticket Office was named a finalist for the prestigious Rookie of the Year Award. The award is presented annually to the most outstanding new client on the Paciolan ticketing platform and is one of three awards presented at the PACnet conference, which took place from February 12th through the 16th.

The Providence Athletic Ticket Office was one of three finalists for the award and was the only college athletics client to be named a finalist. The other two nominees were the Long Center for the Performing Arts, a multi-million dollar performing arts center in Austin, Texas, and the Smith Center for the Performing Arts, which is the first performing arts center to be built in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Long Center captured the award.

As a first year client with Paciolan, the Providence College Athletic Ticket Office has been able to bring many improvements to the Friar Fan's ticket buying experience. Among the innovations that fans have been taking advantage of this season are:

• Enhanced digital ticketing options, including ticket transfers and print-at-home delivery • Clickable seat maps • Online season ticket renewals • Online promo codes for easy access to special ticket offers

"Being recognized at PACnet was a great honor for our entire ticketing staff," Athletic Ticket Manager Christine Flannery said. "We feel fortunate to have been able to partner with Paciolan through the leadership of Bob Driscoll and Steve Napolillo. This partnership has allowed us to dramatically improve the level of service we offer to our fans and we look forward to continuing to implement new tools to serve our customers. Paciolan allows us to be on the cutting edge of ticketing technology."

The ticket office is now accepting new and renewal season deposits for the 2012-2013 men's basketball season. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with their online box office open 24/7 for all your ticket purchasing needs.
