Friar Fanatics,
It’s nice to be back in Friartown. This past weekend I was in Minnesota for the 2011 NCAA Men’s Frozen Four. The people of Minneapolis helped to create an atmosphere that is second to none, as each of the three games contested at the Xcel Energy Center was, well, filled with great energy and excitement. For the past four years, I have been a member of the NCAA men’s ice hockey committee and this year I was honored and privileged to be named the committee’s Chairperson.
This week, starting Monday, I will be holding on-campus interviews with candidates for the men’s ice hockey head coaching position. After having received important input from respected people within the hockey world, we have narrowed down the candidates to a short list of people who are not only well-qualified, but are ready to take our program to the next level.
