Friar Fans,
As you all may know, a lot of things have happened here in Friartown since my last blog post. On Wednesday, March 23 we held a press conference to welcome the latest addition to the Friar Athletics family, Ed Cooley. I am very excited to have Coach Cooley lead our men's basketball program into a new era. Coach Cooley's work ethic, experience, and core values coincide nicely with the vision I have for the Athletics Department and I look forward to working with him in the years to come.
In other news, the NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament gets underway tonight. As part of the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Committee, I am in Manchester, N.H. gearing up for tomorrow's first round games: New Hampshire vs. Miami (OH) at 4 p.m.; Merrimack vs. Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. Both games will be played at the Verizon Wireless Center, with the winners facing off at 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 27 for the right to go the Frozen Four in St. Paul, Minn. For comprehensive coverage of the Tournament, please visit the NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey page.
Go Friars!
