Providence College Student-Athletes Excel In The Classroom

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College Department of Athletics has announced that an impressive 51-percent of its student-athletes earned a fall-term grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. The academic report was released, internally, on February 24.

Additionally, 18-percent of Providence College student-athletes were named to the Dean's List. The Dean's list requires a 3.55 grade-point average, or higher.

In looking at overall academic performance by Friar student-athletes, 46-percent hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0, or higher. A student-athlete's cumulative GPA spans each semester of his/her academic work load while enrolled at the College.
