PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Women's Ice Hockey looks to extend its five-game winning streak this weekend, as it hosts a pair of ECAC foes at Schneider Arena. The Friars welcome RPI on Friday (October 22) at 7 p.m., then challenges visiting Princeton on Saturday (October 23) at 4 p.m.
In addition to their on-ice work, the Friars will be showcasing several community service initiatives. Before the RPI game Friday, the team will make a check presentation to the Make-A-Wish foundation. The donation was earned during the squad's Road Hockey Rumble fundraiser last month. The Rumble was a street hockey tournament for the Providence College community organized by junior defenseman Christie Jensen and her teammates.
All proceeds from Saturday's game against Princeton will go towards Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention. After the game on Saturday, the team welcomes the public to "Skate with the Friars," an annual opportunity to spend the evening on the ice with the team.
