Hello Friar Fanatics!
Our annual Men's Ice Hockey Golf Tournament is coming up fast! The event will take place on August 17th at Pawtucket Country Club. I encourage all our Friar Faithful to come down to have some fun and help support our ice hockey team. It's a great opportunity to catch up with of our former Friar greats including Hal Gill ('97), Lou Lamoriello ('63), Steve Rooney ('84), and Jeff Serowik ('90), among others. I also am proud to announce that Providence College will be hosting the Big East Athletic Directors' summer meeting on Wednesday, August 19th and Thursday, August 20th. During the two days, I will meet with athletic directors from the non-football schools in the Big East Conference to discuss various issues surrounding the league.
In other news, just outside my office, Mullaney Gym in Alumni Hall is currently undergoing a facelift of sorts: the walls were painted and the court is being sanded down and resurfaced. This will provide our men's and women's basketball teams with an improved court to practice and compete on. The improvement is one of many items on the list of renovations to improve Alumni Hall. Finally, I'd like to extend my best wishes to Assistant Athletic Trainer Ben Rohde and Senior Assistant Athletic Trainer Quinn Harper; both of whom will be leaving us here at PC. Thank you for your hard work and dedication.
