Dear Friar Fans,
As the summer winds down here in FRIARTOWN, I am pleased to announce that we have just completed the Friends of Friars Club Room in Schneider Arena thanks to a $300,000 donation from the Friends of Friars Club and additional support from the college, itself. The new club room, which sits atop the eastern side of the rink, will serve to provide a great vantage point for fans to enjoy Friar Hockey in unparalleled comfort and convenience.
In addition to the new club room, we also have finished a new $65,000 lacrosse office suite on the third floor of Alumni Hall. The up-to-date office is headquarters for Head Coach Chris Burdick and his staff. The office space is a notable improvement from before, as it provides individual offices and a foyer. The space will be instrumental in recruiting, as the team enters into the newly formed BIG EAST Conference for men's lacrosse.
The Dunkin' Donuts Center may seem a little different to Friar Fans this year as two new high-quality LED video boards will be installed in front of the scorer's table. The video boards will help give the recently renovated Dunkin' Donuts Center a professional feel and will provide an unlimited amount of information and advertising opportunities. On behalf of the athletic department I would like to thank Nelligan Sports Marketing for this generous gift.
