Providence Tennis Drops Final Home Match of the Season

The Providence College tennis team hosted its final home match of the season on Wednesday, April 8, when the St. John's Red Storm came to Providence, R.I. The two teams were able to squeeze in all of the singles matches before bad weather came in, cancelling the doubles matches. St. John's swept the Friars, 6-0.
In her final home match as a Friar, senior Meghan Gilroy (Fairfield, Conn.) played strong for Providence, falling in the No. 3 singles spot, 6-3, 6-4.
Providence returns to action on Thursday, April 9, when it travels to Fairfield, Conn. to take on the Fairfield University Stags. Matches are set to begin at 4:00 p.m.
