PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- It was announced last week that Providence College's NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR) is 94 percent. At 94 percent, the College ranks fourth among BIG EAST Conference schools in the most recent GSR data that was released by the NCAA on October 14. Only BIG EAST school's Notre Dame, (98 percent), Georgetown (95 percent) and Villanova (95 percent) finished ahead of Providence. "Part of our athletic vision statement includes a 100 percent graduation rate," Athletics Director Bob Driscoll said. "With our recent 94 percent graduation rate it demonstrates that our student-athletes are on the right track and we will continually strive to reach 100 percent." Eight men's and women's teams at Providence College had a perfect GSR of 100 -- the men's hockey team, men's cross country and track, men's soccer, women's ice hockey, women's soccer, women's swimming and diving, tennis and volleyball.
