Annie Nemeth Competes At BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championships

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. - Providence College swimming and diving junior Annie Nemeth (Pittsburgh, Pa.) wrapped up three days of competition at the 2006 BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday afternoon. The Championships took place at the Nassau Aquatic Center.
Nemeth competed in three events at the Championships including the 200-yard individual medley, 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard breaststroke. Nemeth turned in impressive times in all three events, but failed to advance to the finals for each event.
On Thursday, Nemeth placed 34th out of 40 competitors in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:12.07. On Friday, Nemeth placed 33rd out of 45 competitors in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.56. Earlier this morning, Nemeth coucluded her Championship performance as she finished 22nd out of 44 competitors in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:25.42.
PC swimming concludes the 2005-06 season with the Metropolitan Swim Championships Feb. 17-19. Nemeth and the Friars will look for an impressive finish to the year as the Championships take place at Rutgers University in Piscataway, N.J.
