Swimming Closes Out Season At ECAC Championships

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Providence College women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the 2004-05 campaign with a 17th place finish out of 28 teams totaling 33 points at the ECAC Championships held over the weekend at Tress Pool at the University of Pittsburgh. Sophomore Annie Nemeth (Pittsburgh, Pa.) posted the best Friar finish as she placed sixth overall in the 200-yard breaststroke with a school-record time of 2:24.17. The effort was her best time of the season, and marked the second time in as many weeks she has set a new standard.
The men's swimming and diving team placed 17th out of 24 teams with 30 points.
