PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College men's hockey team is ranked 15th in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll and 19th in the USCHO.com/CSTV Poll, which were released on Monday, December 5. It marks the first time since November 3, 2003 that the Friars have been ranked in a national poll.

PC is led by senior Torry Gajda (Westfield, Mass.) who has a team-high 17 points on nine goals and eight assists. In goal, sophomore Tyler Sims (Fort Worth, Texas), who earlier today was named Hockey East Co-Defensive Player of the Week, has posted an 8-5-1 record, a 2.33 goals against average and a .921 save percentage.
