Friars Doing Their Part to Spread the Holiday Cheer

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College Athletic Department recently donated over 2,000 free tickets to local youth basketball programs. The tickets are for the December 21st game versus the University of Maine, and the January 3rd game versus Brown University. Area Church Youth Organizations and Recreational Departments received the tickets over the past two weeks for upcoming games over Winter Break.
"We wanted to create an opportunity for everyone to join in the excitement at the Dunkin' Donuts Center this season," said Providence College Senior Associate Athletic Director Mark Devine. "This gives us the chance to create the next generation of basketball fans here in Friartown."
