GAME ON: Rams And Friars Will Play Saturday In Ryan Center

KINGSTON, R.I. - According to the University of Rhode Island, the Providence College/URI men's basketball game scheduled for Saturday, December 6 will be played Saturday at 4 p.m. despite the forecast of snow for Friday and Saturday.
University of Rhode Island athletic officials have talked with Providence College officials, league officials, game officials, local and campus police, as well as snow removal personal and campus authorities, and have decided that all is a go for Saturday's game.
For the fans' convenience, doors will open at 2:30 p.m. and those lucky enough to hold tickets are encouraged to arrive early.
This is the first time in over 30 years that the Friars have come to Kingston. All 7,571 seats in the Ryan Center sold out before they even went on sale to the general public. The game will be televised on Cox-3 and is available on the radio (WPRO 630 AM) and by Gametracker here at www.friars.com.
